Resources

Additional Buddhism Resources

Online Courses

  • Everyday Buddhist: Jodo Shinshu-centric but also has some general Buddhism courses. I have found the courses to be very affordable if you are purchasing individually. They also recently added a subscription option with monthly or annual payments.
  • Lion’s Roar Online: Lots of summits and courses available for purchase. The summits tend to be more expensive but I have found them informative and enjoyable.
  • Tricycle Online: Online courses related to all schools of Buddhism, including a course on Korean Buddhist Temple cooking (which is amazing!).
  • Jodo Shinshu Online Correspondence Course: A 2 year program that teaches general Buddhism and Jodo Shinshu specific topics. There is a waiting list to enter the course.

Magazines

  • Lion’s Roar: Articles relates to all branches of Buddhism
  • Tricycle: The Buddhist Review: Articles related to all branches of Buddhism
  • BuddhaDharma: Quarterly journal published by Lion’s Roar that discusses dharma and world events that are impacting Buddhist practitioners

How to Find a Temple

You may be wondering how to find a temple to attend. I have found that there are a few ways to go about this. You can search in Google of course, however here are a few resources I like quite a bit.
